My Students
I haven't met my students yet, but I love them already! My students will be the youngest learners in the public school system, 3 year olds! Their first year of school will be historic, given the pandemic. They will participate in blended learning, this means that they will learn in school on some days, and learn at home on other days. Altogether, I will have a maximum of 15 students from Queens. They come from diverse families with varying socioeconomic incomes.
My students deserve safe, and fun opportunities to learn at school and at home!
I am determined to make this a meaningful journey, despite the circumstances of Covid-19 that will make learning experience quite different than previous years.
My Project
Young learners enjoy sensory exploration. Engaging in art activities is both fun and meaningful, as children discover how colors change when mixed together, and practice drawing and letter making using drawing materials.
Crayons, markers, paintbrushes and paper are materials that students use on a daily basis.
The requested storage containers will help to limit the spread of germs, as each child will have their own supply of art materials. Each child will also receive art supplies to use at home, as they engage in remote learning on some days.
I am determined to provide the best possible experience for my 3 year olds. These materials will allow them to stay organized, and have the ability to create art in safe manner. I appreciate your willingness to support this endeavor!
