The second our three-year-olds saw the new materials from Lakeshore Learning, there was no keeping them in their seats. They could hardly believe that all of these new treasures were for them!\r\n\r\nWe've been using the materials every single day in meaningful and joyful ways. Our shape and color sorting toys have quickly become a class favorite.. Last week, I watched a small group of children work together to sort shapes into matching trays. One friend shouted, \"I did it!\" after matching all the triangles, and the others clapped for him—building confidence and community are as important in 3K as letters and numbers.\r\n\r\nOur building toys and Magna-Tiles have inspired incredible creativity. One morning, two friends announced they were \"building a city,\" and before long half the class joined in. They worked together to create towers, bridges, and even a little \"school for ants.\" These toys have helped our students practice problem-solving, cooperation, and fine-motor skills—all while having a fantastic time.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our students the chance to see themselves as creators, builders, artists, and thinkers. Your kindness is shaping their earliest school memories.","fullyFundedDate":1755743406590,"projectUrl":"project/big-skills-for-little-brains/9378154/","projectTitle":"Big Skills for Little Brains","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wolfe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8605_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748127039422","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/victoriawolfe"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_125764","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":14,"percentBlack":16,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":54.1,"schoolId":125764,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about PS 336Q @ 477 on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"PS 336Q @ 477 ","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/ps-336q-477/125764"}
