Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My goal is to make my classroom a supportive learning environment for students, and to do this I encourage positive student behavior. It is important to focus on rewarding students for the good choices they make.
Each year I purchase items like candy and fidget toys to give out when I observe a student doing the right thing.
By helping me restock my supply, I can continue to provide incentives to my students.
This year, I committed to rewarding my students with new classroom speakers if they were being successful in class. They have proven their commitment to their education and have accomplished excellent work, so I would like to speakers so they can hear lessons better.
Other items in this project will also be used towards creating a welcoming environment by providing tools for the student-run clubs I advise like a flag and pole and tool kit for the Environmental Science club.
