My Students
My favorite part of being a teacher is who I share my classroom with! My students come from very diverse backgrounds, each having their own personal learning style and academic strengths and weaknesses. They all face multiple challenges both in and outside of the classroom, but their eagerness to learn has them all on the same path towards academic success.
My students have truly developed a love for learning and its my job to keep that fire burning.
They are an incredibly energetic group of kids who have just as much excitement about learning as they do about recess, as long as I can make their learning experiences fun and engaging.
My Project
I plan on adding these books to my listening station so that the students can listen to them daily during center rotations. Many students could not afford to purchase their own headphones, or purchased cheap ones that have already broke. The headphones that I wish to purchase are good quality and sturdy enough that they will last for a few years.
In first grade students grow from simply learning how to read, to developing a love for reading!
However, Some of the books that grab their attention are still a bit above their reading level. By purchasing Audio books the students will be able to listen to their favorite stories being read out loud to them while following along in the book.
