Help me give my students flexible and creative seating to help keep their minds focused on the lessons without having to sit in the traditional classroom seats. Wobble stools keep their creativity active while engaging in learning activities.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
If you have ever had to sit in a hard chair for more than 10 minutes, you understand that sometimes a metal chair can feel like an anchor to the body and soul. Flexible and alternative seating options for students in the classroom, especially wobble stools and balance balls, not only give students the freedom to move while they learn but also help strengthen posture and muscles in the classroom. Students who tap, fidget, or just constantly need to move to function, LOVE the wobble seats because they can consistently stay in motion while focusing on the given tasks. I've found wobble stools and balance balls to be amazing encouragement during writing lessons and brainstorming sessions because the students can physically and mentally move "in sync" creating unlimited critical thinking opportunities and enhancing learning.
