Help me give my students a place to shop for free. We are building a community closet where our students in need can get personal necessities free. Please help us provide what our students need.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The " EMS Community Closet" will help us provide personal necessities for our children who's families are unable to afford what they need. We also have a "New Comers" program where we get children from all over the world. Many of which have very little to no personal items when they arrive to our school. We will supply a range of personal necessities, school supplies, clothes, shoes, food, and some household needs. Our kids range from ages 11-14. This closet will be a safe and private space for students to come and shop for what they are in need. When students feel supported and cared for, they are more likely to be engaged in learning and able to focus on their studies. Additionally, meeting students' individual needs, whether they relate to learning styles, socio-emotional support, or special accommodations, helps create an inclusive environment where all students can thrive. Please help us get what we need to get our closet started.
