My Project

Creating a Love for Reading in Our Classroom

These books will continue to enrich the print-rich environment I work hard to create every day in our kindergarten classroom.

Our classroom library is a favorite space for my students—whether we’re gathered on the carpet for read-alouds, working on assignments, or diving into books during independent reading time, it’s a place filled with joy, learning, and discovery.

Every book added to our library is treated with care and appreciated deeply by my students. Each title I’ve selected has been chosen with them in mind. Over the past few weeks, I’ve observed what excites them as readers and listened to their interests. Their enthusiasm for reading is clear, and I want to continue nurturing that excitement.

With your support, my students will have access to a wider variety of books at their individual reading levels and in topics that truly engage them. Allowing them to choose what they read builds both confidence and a genuine love for reading. The best way for young readers to grow is to read more—and these books will help them do just that.

My students have already shown an incredible love for independent reading, and this project will only deepen their connection to stories and strengthen their reading skills. Thank you for helping us build a lifelong love of reading, one book at a time.
