Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our biology sections we'll see plant life in a whole new light! They'll observe photosynthesis firsthand, tinker with nutrient solutions (exploring chemistry), and witness the delicate balance of an indoor ecosystem (ecology). Genetics can even be explored by propagating plants through cuttings!
For our special education program, students will be using the hydroponic system to grow their own food, which fosters hands-on learning and life skills.
Students will harvest vegetables, cook healthy recipes, and even participate in a school market, gaining valuable teamwork and business skills.
This isn't just about plants, it's about cultivating well-rounded young minds!
My goals? To ignite their curiosity about science, empower them with practical skills, and create a classroom that's as vibrant and alive as they are.
What makes them special? Everything! They bring a unique perspective and boundless enthusiasm to learning. This project is a chance to nurture that and watch them flourish.
