Help me give my students engaging and bilingual teaching resources for Spanish Language Arts (SLA) and writing as I transition into a stand-alone classroom teacher this year.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year brings an exciting new chapter—I'll be leading my own classroom as a stand-alone teacher, and with that comes the responsibility of teaching both Spanish Language Arts (SLA) and writing to my amazing kindergarteners. As a dual-language educator, I strive to find resources that are developmentally appropriate, culturally relevant, and aligned with standards in both languages.
However, high-quality bilingual materials—especially for early literacy and writing—can be hard to come by and often come at a cost.
That’s why I’m requesting a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to access proven, engaging resources created by fellow educators. These materials will help me support my students’ growth in foundational writing skills, grammar, vocabulary, and confidence—whether they are just starting to write or building full sentences.
From interactive anchor charts and sentence stems to writing prompts and bilingual mini-lessons, the resources I purchase will help me build a well-rounded and engaging curriculum for all learners.
Your support means I can spend more time planning meaningful lessons and less time recreating resources from scratch. Thank you for investing in my classroom and in the success of our young authors and language learners!
