Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach an incredible group of students who are bright, curious, and eager to make sense of the world around them. Many of my students come from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, and they bring unique perspectives and lived experiences to our classroom discussions. They are thoughtful, compassionate, and ready to learn about fairness, equality, and how they can make a difference.

This project aims to promote social justice in our classroom through diverse, inclusive literature and additional resources through Teachers Pay Teachers.

With your support, I'll create a classroom library of books that reflect my students' rich diversity and introduce them to the voices of authors from historically underrepresented communities. Students will build empathy, critical thinking skills, and a deeper understanding of justice and fairness by reading stories about diverse people and discussing the issues these characters face.
