My Project

My students are enthusiastic high schoolers from diverse backgrounds, each with a keen interest in the sciences. They are especially curious about the natural world, and many aspire to careers in STEM fields such as medicine and environmental science. Our current science resources, however, particularly our microscopes, are outdated and severely limit their ability to explore complex biological processes.

This year, we urgently need two AmScope OMAX 40X-2000X Lab LED Binocular Compound Microscopes.

These microscopes will greatly enhance our students' learning experiences in cell and microbiology labs. They will enable our students to observe detailed, clear images of microscopic organisms, fostering a deeper understanding of biological processes and enhancing their scientific inquiry skills. Specifically, these microscopes will be used to explore and study plankton from the San Francisco Bay, allowing students to conduct real-world environmental biology studies right in our classroom.

By providing these advanced tools, we aim to empower our students to become confident in their scientific abilities and inspire them to pursue further studies and careers in STEM. The AmScope microscopes, with features such as LED illumination and coaxial coarse/fine focusing, are crucial for students conducting precise biological experiments. These resources will not only support our students' current educational needs but also help them build foundational skills for future scientific endeavors.

Your support will transform our science lab into a state-of-the-art learning environment where our future scientists can thrive. These microscopes are gateways to opportunity and discovery, enabling hands-on learning and development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for their academic and professional growth.
