Empowering Young Minds: Period Products for Confident Learning

Help me give my students access to essential period products so they never have to miss class or feel uncomfortable due to lack of access, allowing them to focus on their education with confidence and dignity.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students face the challenge of managing their periods while at school, often without access to essential hygiene products. This lack of access can lead to discomfort, embarrassment, and even missed class time. By providing period products such as pads and liners, we can ensure that our students can focus on their education rather than worrying about where to find the supplies they need. With these products readily available, students will feel more comfortable and confident in the classroom, leading to improved concentration, participation, and overall academic performance.

Our goal with this project is to create a supportive school environment where students have access to period products without stigma or barriers.

We want to promote dignity, health, and equity by ensuring that no student has to leave class or miss school due to the lack of necessary supplies. This initiative is a step toward fostering a school culture where every student feels seen, supported, and ready to succeed. Our students are resilient, hardworking, and full of potential. They come from diverse backgrounds and face many challenges, yet they continue to strive for excellence. By providing them with the necessary period products, we are showing them that they are valued and cared for, removing one more barrier standing in their way.
