Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are creative, determined, and full of potential. They come to occupational therapy ready to work on skills that help them succeed in the classroom and beyond—whether it’s handwriting, self-regulation, or fine motor coordination. What they need now is a space that works as hard as they do.
This project will transform our OT room into a more efficient, organized, and engaging environment.
With new cabinets and storage solutions, we’ll be able to keep materials accessible and clutter-free, creating a calm and focused space for learning. The addition of specialized tools—like weighted pencils, uppercase beading activities, Dycem for stabilizing slant boards, timers, and a sensory ABC rug—will support a wide range of student goals while keeping therapy sessions fun and motivating.
These resources will help my students build independence, confidence, and essential life skills. With your support, we can create a space where every child feels empowered to grow, explore, and succeed.
