Empowering Young Innovators: Hands-On Coding for Future STEM Leaders

Help me give my students coding supplies to engage in hands-on, interactive learning experiences that will help them develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and computational skills essential for their future success in STEM.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Royster's classroom raised $476

My Project

The coding supplies I am requesting, including the Makey:bit Classroom Bundle: Computer Science Explorer Pack, will provide my students with hands-on, interactive experiences that make coding and engineering concepts come to life. These materials will allow students to explore circuitry, programming, and design thinking in a collaborative environment, helping them understand real-world applications of STEM. With individual and shared kits, students can experiment, problem-solve, and create innovative projects, developing essential computational thinking and teamwork skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom.

My goal for this project is to equip my students with the tools they need to engage in meaningful STEM learning through coding and engineering challenges.

By integrating these resources into our classroom, I want to foster critical thinking, creativity, and perseverance while ensuring that every student has access to hands-on experiences that make learning fun and relevant. I aim to create a classroom environment where students confidently navigate the design process, collaborate with their peers, and develop the skills necessary for success in future STEM careers.

My students are curious, creative, and eager to explore the world of STEM. They thrive when given opportunities to engage in hands-on learning, and they bring unique ideas and perspectives to every challenge they tackle. Despite any obstacles they may face, they show determination and excitement in solving problems, working together, and bringing their ideas to life. By providing them with the right tools, I can help nurture their natural curiosity and give them the confidence to see themselves as future engineers, programmers, and innovators.
