This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I feel that it is necessary for my students to be able to attend school and access all the resources they need to be successful in their learning. One area in particular is writing. I want to empower my students to become the future authors of tomorrow. I am deeply committed to providing them with the resources needed to be successful with developing strong writing skills, fostering their creativity and expression, and motivating them to build a love for writing.
My project aims to support my students by offering them a variety of essential writing supplies that they can use to enhance their learning experiences.
This includes writing notebooks so that my students will have the opportunity to practice their writing skills, develop their ideas in preparation for writing stories, and write about their life experiences through journaling. They will also need access to reliable writing tools throughout the school year such as pencils. Lastly, they will benefit from other materials such as colored pencils, markers, construction paper, chart paper, scissors, and glue sticks to help support their writing creativity and add depth and visual appeal to their written work.
