Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This project is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of my students who have recently arrived in our country with limited economic resources. My project focuses on providing snacks for these students, recognizing the critical role nutrition plays in their ability to focus and succeed academically.
Many of these students face challenges that are beyond adapting to an unfamiliar educational system and culture.
They often struggle to meet their basic needs, including regular meals access. As a result, hunger becomes a significant barrier to their learning experience. It's incredibly difficult to concentrate and engage in class when your stomach is empty.
By investing in this snack project, you're not just buying food; you're investing in the future of these bright young minds. Nutritious snacks will ensure that students have the energy and focus to fully participate in their education. I believe that every student deserves equal opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances.
