Empowering Tomorrow's Innovators: Dash Robots for Elementary Education
Help me give my students an exciting and innovative project that will greatly benefit their ability learn the essential STEM skills of coding and robotics using Dash Robots.
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted elementary students by disrupting in-person learning. The lack of access to robotics and coding instruction has been particularly challenging. This grant proposal seeks funding to address this issue by providing Dash Robots to our school to empower our students and enhance their academic learning after COVID-19.
The pandemic's abrupt shift to remote and hybrid learning models left students disconnected from hands-on STEM experiences such as coding with robots.
The absence of in-person interaction hindered collaborative and social learning, while remote limitations made it difficult to engage students actively in STEM subjects, hindering critical thinking and problem-solving development.
Dash Robots provide hands-on STEM experiences, which will reignite interest in these subjects. Students' active engagement in programming and problem-solving activities will foster curiosity and wonder.
Students will develop improved problem solving skills because Dash programming naturally develops problem-solving skills as students overcome challenges.
Finally, students Dash Robots promote inclusivity because they are adaptable, ensuring all students can participate regardless of background or ability, promoting inclusivity and equity.
