Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As an educator dedicated to fostering creativity and artistic expression, I’ve seen firsthand how hard my students work, despite the challenges they face. Many of these students come from low-income backgrounds and often have limited access to the latest technology, which makes it difficult for them to fully explore the world of digital art. This project seeks to provide them with the tools they need to expand their artistic horizons and empower them to succeed.

The iPad and iPad Pen will open up an entirely new world of possibilities for these students.

With the digital tools provided by the iPad, they will be able to experiment with advanced techniques in illustration, graphic design, and digital painting, all of which are crucial skills in today’s creative and tech-driven world. The combination of the iPad and Pen will allow them to translate their ideas with precision and fluidity, mimicking real-world artistry while building a solid foundation in digital mediums.

Goals for Student Growth and Development:

Improved Digital Literacy: In today’s digital age, it’s essential for students to be proficient with technology. With the iPad, students will gain valuable digital skills, including mastering design software, and working with digital canvases.

College and Career Readiness: Exposure to digital art will open up new possibilities for my students, many of whom may not have considered careers in technology or design. They will be better prepared to pursue opportunities in the arts, technology, or graphic design fields.

I believe that with access to the iPad and Pen, my students will be able to push the boundaries of their creativity, expand their skills, and gain confidence in their abilities as young artists.
