This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
There is a place for a tablet in every child's learning experience and ability. We are a Title 1 School and 80% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. My aim is to teach through the use of differentiation, inquiry, and technology. My students are highly motivated and love learning.
There are many reasons why I believe that an interactive tablet is desperately needed in my classroom.
First, the students crave technology; they use it every day, and are more tech-savvy than most adults. Secondly, my students learn best when they have an opportunity to see and visualize what they are learning about, and a tablet will do just that! Third, having an interactive tablet will make learning real and relevant for my students.
My Project
The students will also be able to use the 2 interactive tablets I am requesting in every subject (reading, writing, math, science, and social studies) throughout the day. We will utilize them when teaching small group lessons, where every student will have the opportunity to "get their hands on" this technology and utilize it.
