Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students who develop strong social emotional skills are more likely to perform better in school, build positive relationships with peer and teachers and manage stress effectively. This project will provide tools to create a supportive environment where students can thrive emotionally and socially, ultimately leading to better academic outcomes and positive classroom culture.
Social Emotional storybooks and workbooks will help students identify emotions and practice empathy.
The games and emotion cards will help students to learn how to regulate and express their emotions in healthy ways. a classroom mindfulness kit will help our student to learn to manage anxiety.
This project will serve about 45 students with special needs. These students come from diverse backgrounds, and many face challenges such as trauma, anxiety, and behavioral difficulties that impact their ability to engage fully in the classroom. Through Social Emotional Lessons we aim to address these challenges and equip our students with emotional tools they need to succeed.
