it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are fascinated with music videos. I want to increase interest in chemistry by teaching my students how to code self-made music videos about chemistry, thereby empowering students through art.
My students wants to understand how chemistry matters in their lives.
To do this, each students will explore a chosen chemistry topic. The students will then create a video to showcase what they have learned. Students will then use an online video coding software to enhance their videos. The videos will then be shared with their classmates. The new laptop will "Empower Students Through Art" by enabling students to learn and teach chemistry to one another via an art medium (videos).
My Project
The new laptop will be utilized by the students to edit the videos. Editing will be done using an online video coding software that the students will be learning. In addition, the new laptop with the smartboard will help the students showcase their videos as they share and teach their fellow classmates what they have learned.
With this new laptop, my students will have a chance to learn a new skill while developing an appreciation for chemistry via the arts.
By integrating the hard science with the arts, I hope to increase my students interest in chemistry using a beloved medium - videos.
