it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Empowering Students Through Art
My class is so excited to begin a unit on Stop Motion Storytelling to integrate subject areas like math and social studies with our art but we need the supplies! We are asking for Play-doh, googly eyes and some trays to help us out.
My second grade students love working with their hands to build amazing things.
I am excited to allow them to create their own sets for their very own stop-motion animation projects. Play-do is the perfect material for making changes little by little to animate their stories on all sorts of subjects. The stories they will animate will be based on all subject areas. They will work in groups to create realistic backdrops, research their topics, write scripts and create storyboards. These videos will then be shown to other students to help teach them the concepts.
My Project
The students will work together to write skits based on out learning and then use iPads to tell their stories frame by frame. I am so excited for them to create never before seen stories to help solidify their learning across all disciplines. Empowering Students Through Art is an important focus for our school being that we are a visual and performing arts magnet school. Our students love to be creative and we try to integrate art into other subject areas so it is accessible to all learners. They will learn to work in groups to become better listeners and express their ideas politely to one another. They will be having fun and might not even realize how much they are learning!
You will help these students have the materials they need to work together to create great stories.
They will be able to integrate writing with their imaginations to create and design amazing stop-motion animations. These materials will help unlock unlimited potential and who knows, we make find the future director of amazing films!
