The students learned how to calculate the surace area of the dome and used that data to figure out how many rolls of mirrored film they needed to purchase to cover the dome. This real-life application really help the students to connect math and the real world . The students also leared about surrealism and Dali's persistence of a memory. We were able to display student-made melting clocks inside the geodesic dome to help students understand more about the essence of surrealism and Dali himself as an artist.
