My Students

I have an amazing group of excited and bright learners. These 25 students are excited to incorporate technology into every day learning of math, reading, spelling, science and social studies. For my students to be college and career ready they need access to classroom computers to make learning more engaging, fun, and competitive in today's world.

My students are bright, energetic, and enthusiastic learners.

They are cooperative and respectful students who do their best in everything and stay positive about learning. They enjoy hands-on learning and working in centers as individuals, partners, and groups. They would love to be able to use computers more than once a week for 40 minutes to broaden their horizons and show what they know. As a teacher, I need to keep up with the times, discover student interests and implement them in my classroom to promote the most positive learning environment possible. As an ESL and math certified teacher ELLs and low students in math can take advantage of various reading and math sites to help increase their reading and math fluency.

My Project

My students need 5 Chromebooks to take them beyond the walls of our classroom to explore, study, read and write about communities, countries, and peoples and their contributions to our past, present, and future. Chromebooks would be a fantastic addition to our classroom. Chromebooks will add real word connections to our lessons across the curriculum. We will use computers for keyboarding skills; increasing writing skills using Utah Compose; publishing opinion, informative, and narrative writing pieces as well as poetry. During reading and language centers, students will use them for daily listening centers where students can listen to stories, as well as record and listen to themselves read. Finally, students will use Chromebooks for Science and Social Studies research projects such as: solar system, force and motion, and animals, economics, map study, etc... Math fact websites like mrnussbaum.com , ixl.com and reflexmath.com will help my mathmaticians to increase their math fact fluency and math skills. For my ELL students imagine learning will be used to help them increase heir learning of reading fluency, phonics and comprehension.

Computers will take kids to worlds beyond their scope of imagination as they seek to broaden their horizons and reach for the stars.

Having equipment that students enjoy and can learn from can only benefit their learning experience. They will have fun while learning and they are practicing skills that they will need for the rest of their lives to help them become college and career ready!
