This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My goal this year is to empower my students through their individual/group check in sessions encouraging them to make short term goals in order to reach their long term goals of recovering their high school credit. The resources requested such as the snacks are not only an incentive to meet for sessions but sincerely does meet their basic needs as students often request snacks throughout the school day.

The additional social emotional resources are tools to improve our individual and group sessions and motivate our students to realize their best selves.

With your donations, you will be an important piece in building up our students individually and as a whole school body.

What makes our students special is how they have overcome many obstacles in their life yet stay connected to our school community. They want to graduate from their neighborhood high school which honestly says a lot.
