This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
We want to incorporate STEM centers to increase engagement by providing hands-on, interactive experiences that tap into students' natural curiosity and desire to explore. Incorporating items like STEM projects, robotics kits, 3D puzzles, and exploration kits into our maker space and media center and will create an inclusive and welcoming environment where all students can participate and thrive. The goal of this project is to cultivate a space that fosters creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. By offering a variety of STEM activities and resources, we aim to empower students to take ownership of their learning and pursue their interests in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
What makes our students special is their resilience and curiosity.
Despite facing challenges, they demonstrate a remarkable ability to bounce back and approach new tasks with enthusiasm and determination. By providing them with opportunities to engage in hands-on STEM activities, we can harness their innate curiosity and channel it into meaningful learning experiences.
Incorporating items like STEM projects, robotics kits, 3D puzzles, and exploration kits not only enhances students' understanding of STEM concepts but also promotes creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. These hands-on activities allow students to explore STEM concepts in a tangible way, making learning more accessible and engaging for all learners.
