My Project
Decodable texts are crucial for beginning readers because they provide a structured, predictable path for learning to read, focusing on letter-sound relationships and allowing students to apply phonics skills in context, ultimately building confidence and fluency. Reading strengthens memory, comprehension, and critical thinking skills, which are essential for academic success and lifelong learning.
Reading is a tool for daily life in modern society!
My students experience a great deal of excitement and joy when they learn to real, as it unlocks a world of stories, knowledge, and self-expression, leading to increased confidence and a love of learning. We are also a daily practice reading comprehension book and math journals.
