Empowering Middle School Readers With the Tools They Deserve!

Help me give my students high-interest book sets, graphic novels, organizational tools, engaging reading supports, and headphones to make literacy learning fun, focused, and effective.

My Project

My students are bright, curious, and determined middle schoolers who come to school every day ready to learn—even when reading feels like an uphill battle. They are part of a specialized reading class and each one has a unique learning profile, including learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, speech and language differences, and processing challenges.

Reading is the foundation for everything else in school—and in life.

My students are working hard to build that foundation, but they need more than just determination. They need the right materials, tools, and supports that align with how they learn best.

This project will provide multisensory reading tools, high-interest materials, and assistive technology to support my students’ reading development and confidence. Most of my students are currently reading 2–5 years below grade level. Despite these challenges, they want to read, they want to understand—and they deserve the tools that will help them succeed.

This project will help make reading a daily experience of success rather than struggle. It will give my students the confidence to approach books with curiosity, the independence to tackle new texts, and the joy of discovering stories they can truly understand.
