This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our day starts with our usual journal entry "How can I make my day better today?" At the end of the school year, I have a goal of having my students have self-confidence. I have many students with different learning needs. With technology, they can use so many resources through apps.
I have amazing students that sometimes experience the best they can experience through their school day hours.
Poverty is a big key in our fight to achieve the learning goal. Help my students achieve this by having the best they can in their classroom.
My Project
My students need a Macbook Air to help ensure their technology experience is virus-free. This computer will give students access to a variety of apps. In our school, we have students with a low socioeconomic status. Unfortunately, they are not exposed to the technology they need to advance in certain subjects such as reading. Tutoring is very expensive, and the parents are not able to afford this luxury. Most of our parents only speak Spanish. Our school is great with helping our students and parents. With the help of these resources, we can support different learning styles such as visual, hands-on, and even musically inclined.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
