Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our 5th-grade bilingual classroom at a Title 1 school, we strive to provide a high-quality education that meets the diverse needs of our students. Small group instruction is a vital component of our teaching strategy, allowing for personalized learning, targeted interventions, and meaningful engagement. To optimize this learning experience, we seek support in acquiring essential classroom furniture that will enhance our teacher-led station: a durable teacher desk, an ergonomic teacher chair, and heavy-duty metallic stools for students.

Our bilingual students benefit immensely from small group instruction, where they receive individualized support in both English and their native language.

However, our current classroom setup does not provide a designated and comfortable space for these sessions. By integrating sturdy and functional furniture, we can create an inviting and efficient learning environment that fosters collaboration, focus, and success.

With your generous contributions, we will be able to purchase:

A heavy-duty teacher desk to organize materials and facilitate smooth transitions between groups.

An ergonomic teacher chair to ensure comfort and sustainability during instruction.

Durable metallic stools to accommodate students at the teacher station, promoting engagement and interaction.

By improving the small group instruction area, students will receive individualized attention tailored to their learning needs.
