This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a first year teacher and so excited to be teaching 7th grade health. I am at a Title 1 school, and I am seeking your support to provide my amazing health students.I believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed and thrive, regardless of their circumstances. For this to happen, I would love composition notebooks that will remain at school, ensuring they have a designated space to document their thoughts, feelings, and questions about the topics we explore in health class (mental, emotional, social, and physical health).

I feel like Health class is often overlooked since it is not a core class, but I firmly believe that health is one of the most important classes for my students to have.

By having these notebooks available in the classroom, I can encourage them to write down their ideas and insights, their reflection, and have an opportunity to be able to go share with our class.
