My Project

My game design students bring a unique blend of creativity and curiosity to the classroom, making every day a new adventure in learning. They thrive on challenges and excel in projects that allow them to express their individuality and innovative thinking. The resources requested in this project, specifically the linen paper, specialized card stock and sprays, will directly support their engagement and learning by enabling them to design and produce their own custom playing cards.

These materials will transform abstract game design class concepts into tangible products, bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical application.

This hands-on approach not only solidifies their understanding of game mechanics and design principles but also boosts their confidence as creators. Our goal is to equip students with the skills and tools to conceptualize, create, and critique their own game designs, fostering a deeper understanding of the subject matter and preparing them for future educational and career opportunities in game development.

What makes my students special is their diversity and resilience. Coming from varied backgrounds, they each bring their own perspectives and ideas to the table, enriching our classroom environment. This project will provide them with equal opportunities to succeed, offering materials that some students might not otherwise afford, and promoting inclusivity and teamwork. Their enthusiasm for learning and support for one another turns potential obstacles into stepping stones for success, making this project an essential part of their educational journey in game design.
