This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As someone who grew up in this very community, I know how rare it is for students here to get real, hands-on science experiences. My students are first-generation learners, full of potential, but they don’t always get the chance to see themselves in the world of science, technology, engineering, and math. This project is powerful work, and it will bring exciting, interactive experiments into our classroom, giving my students the kind of opportunities I wish I had when I was in their shoes. I want them to feel the spark of curiosity, the thrill of discovery, and to believe that they belong in STEM fields. With your help, some dissection kits, and sublimation ink, we can open their eyes to new possibilities and inspire them to dream bigger.
