Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A 3-D printer in our science classroom will be an invaluable addition offering numerous educational benefits that extend beyond traditional learning methods. This will allow students to engage in STEM in a hands-on interactive manner. It will make complex theories easier to understand by creating models of molecules, cells, and various scientific phenomena, allowing students to visualize and explore concepts.
My goals is to cater to diverse learning styles, visual, and kinesthetic learners in particular benefit from creating and manipulating physical models.
This inclusivity ensures that all students can engage deeply with the curriculum and achieve their full potential. This will significantly increase student engagement, the excitement of seeing their digital designs, come to life, keeps student motivated and eager to learn. This interest can lead to better academic performance and a greater passion for science and technology.
Our students are part of a performing visual arts, magnet program, are exceptionally creative and innovative. They are already adept at expressing their creativity through the arts. With this 3D printer, they can merge their artistic talents with scientific inquiry designing and fabricating their own inventions from prototypes of engineering projects to custom laboratory equipment.
