My Project

I am an English Language teacher in the Worcester Public Schools, and this will be my first year working with the district. My units this year will be focusing on themes of social justice, so I am requesting materials that will help us to engage with these issues. More importantly, I am requesting materials that students can use to explore and create: Chart paper and markers to create their own signs and posters to showcase their ideas and display what they've learned; folders to keep their materials organized. Language is the tool we use to communicate with others, convey our ideas, needs, thoughts, and feelings, and to empower ourselves. And that is what I want my students to have. These supplies will help my students empower themselves to become the democratic citizens of the world.
