Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach an incredible group of bilingual fourth-grade students, many of whom are newcomers to the U.S. They bring such richness and diversity to the classroom, yet they face unique challenges as they learn both academic content and a new language. These resources will be transformative in creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment. The headsets will allow my students to immerse themselves in language learning, using technology to build their skills with apps and listening activities. Organizational tools, such as the mail center and shoe organizers, will help create a structured, welcoming space where students can access materials easily, promoting independence and responsibility. The interactive resources, like the plasma ball, world globe, and racetrack playmat, will stimulate their curiosity and creativity during brain breaks and exploration time, fostering a love for learning. My students are determined, hardworking, and full of potential, and with your support, we can provide them with the tools they need to thrive in both language and content areas.
