My Project
I teach 8th grade reading, where independent reading is integrated into our daily routine. Students select books that resonate with them, fostering fluency and lifelong reading habits. This practice aligns perfectly with our school’s academic expectations: developing effective readers, writers, creative problem solvers, and self-directed learners.
My classroom library needs high-interest books.
A carefully curated collection appeals to diverse interests, ensuring students see themselves and explore other worlds. I also need sturdy bookshelves. These bookshelves will provide organized and accessible storage so students can independently browse, choose, and return books responsibly.
