My Project
This project is dedicated to supporting my 8th grade female students by providing them with feminine hygiene kits, which will help ensure they have the necessary products to manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence. Many of my students come from backgrounds where access to these essential items is limited, leading to embarrassment, stress, and even absenteeism when they don’t have what they need. By providing these kits, I aim to create a safe space where students feel supported and empowered, knowing they have the resources to care for themselves without shame or worry.
These hygiene kits are needed because, for many young women, menstruation can be a challenging experience when proper products are unavailable.
Without access to items like pads, tampons, or pantyliners, students may face uncomfortable and stressful situations that can affect their participation in school. The kits will help prevent these disruptions, allowing them to focus on their education rather than being distracted by the lack of necessary hygiene products. By meeting this need, we are ensuring that every student has the tools to feel comfortable, supported, and ready to succeed both academically and personally.
