This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a wonderful group of Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students with moderate to severe support needs. What I love most about my students is their joy, resilience, and unique ways of engaging with the world around them. They each bring their own strengths, cultures, and communication styles into the classroom, and I’m constantly inspired by their determination to connect and learn.

The interactive LeapFrog reading and writing games will support foundational literacy skills in a way that’s engaging and accessible for all learners, especially those who benefit from repetition, visuals, and sound.

The inclusive art supplies will give students a creative outlet to express their feelings, ideas, and identities—especially important for those who use alternative forms of communication. Together, these resources will foster language development, build confidence, and create a more inclusive and empowering classroom environment for every child.
