Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are seeking to inspire and empower the bright minds of tomorrow by introducing them to the timeless wisdom of Plato’s "Symposium." Our goal is to provide 80 students from disadvantaged backgrounds on Chicago's West Side with access to this seminal work, fostering critical thinking and philosophical inquiry.

The students in our community face numerous challenges, and access to influential literary works is a barrier we are determined to remove.

Through "Symposium," we aim to encourage deep discussions about ethics, personal growth, and societal values, which are especially relevant and empowering for students of color in our area.

Your support will not only provide these students with their own copy of "Symposium," but will also send a powerful message: that their intellectual development is valued and that they are recognized as future contributors to philosophical dialogues and societal progress.
