Empower Students Who Use Makeup: The Right Way

My Project

Our school initiated a school wide club activity day this year, and many club were launched, such as chess club, puzzles club, debate club, history club, etc. Among these scholarly clubs stands out one special club: The Makeup Club.

Help our Makeup Club celebrate the end of a successful club year with a fun makeup competition by adding some extra bedazzle to their tools and winning prize!

We are the only club with 100% girls, most of them students of color, and many of them being frequent flyers on the discipline list. I have created this club so that there is safe space within school grounds to talk about makeup, facial care, and all other girl stuff without feeling like they are criminalized or taboo.

Students learned leadership, better knowledge on how to care for their skin, and an open discussion forum to share tips and tricks throughout this year. I would like to provide an exciting last day of club where students can compete in our own makeup competition. Unfortunately, most of my students do not carry their own makeup. It would be an amazing opportunity to have a club-owned makeup set that students can use (with disposable applicators of course) and a small gift for the winners! Thanks for considering our club!
