Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I’m requesting help to provide my students with essential fidgets, markers, construction paper and additional supplies. These supplies that will help them express their emotions, build confidence, and stay engaged in learning. Fidgets offer sensory support to improve focus and reduce stress, while markers and construction paper enhance creativity and hands-on activities. These resources will help create a classroom where students can channel their emotions positively and engage in learning more effectively.
The population I work with lacks many resources that are crucial for their personal and academic development.
These students come from backgrounds where access to these materials is limited, and they would greatly benefit from having the tools they currently do not have. By providing sensory tools and creative outlets, I can help students manage their emotions and focus on their education. Without these resources, they face additional challenges in their learning.
My goal is to create a safe, inspiring space where students can explore their identities, manage emotions, and connect with learning in a meaningful way. By offering tools that encourage self-expression and creativity, I aim to foster an environment where students feel supported and empowered in their growth. These resources will help them feel confident in their abilities and enable them to thrive academically and emotionally.
