This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In the heart of Chicago's West Side, a diverse and vibrant classroom of students stands on the precipice of transformative learning. Our project, aimed at purchasing 80 copies of the "Communist Manifesto," seeks to introduce these bright young scholars to critical perspectives on capitalism, empowering them to envision and advocate for a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Our students, primarily people of color from disadvantaged backgrounds, face daily the realities that come with economic and social inequities.

This pivotal text will serve as a cornerstone in our curriculum to critique these very systems of capitalism that often marginalize their communities. Through guided discussions, critical analysis, and reflective writing, our students will not only deepen their understanding of global economic structures but also cultivate the skills needed to articulate their vision for a more equitable society.

We believe in the power of education to ignite change. By sponsoring the purchase of these books, you're not just providing resources; you're helping shape a generation of informed, critical thinkers ready to challenge the status quo and lead with empathy and insight.
