Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our 1st-grade classroom, my students are energetic, curious, and eager to learn. They love moving, exploring, and expressing themselves in different ways throughout the day. Every child has their own learning style, and some just need a little extra comfort or freedom in how they sit to truly focus. By providing them with flexible seating options, we can create a space where everyone feels supported and ready to learn!

To help my students stay engaged and comfortable during our busy day, I am requesting ergonomic seating options for our classroom.

These items will benefit my students in multiple ways:

Ergonomic Chairs: These molded chairs offer flexible seating with a steel frame that combines stability with just the right amount of bounce. This design allows children to sit in the way that suits them best—forward, sideways, or even bouncing slightly—without distractions.

Surf Floor Desks: These floor desks will give my students another flexible seating option. Students are no longer constrained to a stationary desk giving them choice about their physical classroom space, which teaches them critical and higher-order thinking skills

Teacher Ergonomic Chair: For our small group instruction area, I am requesting an ergonomic chair that will provide me with the support I need as I work closely with students, leading discussions and guiding learning.

By offering flexible seating, I hope to create an inviting and dynamic learning environment where my students can feel comfortable, focused, and ready to do their best work every day!

Traditional classroom seating doesn’t always work for every student. With these new flexible seating options, my students will have the freedom to choose how they learn best.
