Empower Her: Hygiene Essentials for Middle School Girls (Pt. 2)

My Project

I absolutely love how resilient, brilliant, and full of potential my students are. As a 7th and 8th grade math teacher, I get the privilege of watching them grow, not just as learners, but as confident young people discovering their voice and power. Many of my students face challenges outside the classroom that could easily get in the way of learning, yet they show up, ready to try again.

After seeing the impact of our first period pantry project, I knew I had to do it again.

So many of our girls were able to stay in class, avoid unnecessary embarrassment, and feel more confident simply because they had access to essential supplies. This time, we’re aiming to restock and expand, making sure our pantry continues to serve over 100 girls with dignity and care.

These hygiene products, pads, liners, wipes, and more, aren’t just basic necessities. They are tools of empowerment. They allow our students to feel comfortable in their bodies and stay focused on their education, knowing they’re supported. With your help, we can keep removing barriers and building a classroom where all students can thrive.
