Empower Future Chefs with Essential Kitchen Tools!
Help me give my students two KitchenAid stand mixers to ensure more students can actively participate in cooking projects. Additional items include tortilla presses, pasta makers, and durable whisks and pans to replace broken equipment.
My students are hands-on learners who thrive when given the opportunity to create something tangible. In our Food Processing class, they not only learn how to cook but also gain a deeper understanding of where their food comes from by growing it themselves in our school garden. Many of my students are excited to develop real-world skills in the kitchen, but currently, we don’t have enough equipment for everyone to fully participate in our cooking projects.
Right now, we only have enough equipment for two of our five table groups to cook at the same time.
By adding two KitchenAid stand mixers, along with tortilla presses and pasta makers, we can ensure that more students can actively engage in making fresh tortillas, farm to table cookies, and homemade pasta. Additionally, some of our essential tools—such as whisks and pans—have broken over time and need replacing so students can cook safely and effectively.
This project isn’t just about cooking—it’s about self-sufficiency, teamwork, and life skills. My students are learning how to grow their own food and transform it into nourishing meals. Access to high-quality kitchen tools ensures they can fully engage in the process, build confidence in their cooking abilities, and take these valuable skills home to their families.
