My Project

In partnership with Mrs. Gagnon, this grant aims to remove existing obstacles preventing students with diverse learning profiles from accessing standard educational materials in the general education classroom. Our dedication to enhancing academic success for all students involves equipping them with the essential tools and resources to dynamically adjust materials in real-time, ensuring active participation in their learning experiences alongside their peers. This project involves collaborative efforts between our media specialist and the special education resource teacher.

We believe that by providing students with the necessary tools and resources, we can break down barriers to learning and empower them to be successful, independent learners.

Mrs. Gagnon, our resource teacher, will actively participate in implementing these tools with her students, fostering collaboration and sharing of best practices. Her involvement ensures that the benefits of accessible and adaptive reading support extend to a broader student community. The use of these iPads and reading pens will help ensure that students with diverse learning styles, including dyslexia and dysgraphia, have equal access to mainstream materials in real-time. Empower students to adapt materials independently, fostering a sense of academic independence and self-efficacy. Promoting opportunities for students to collaborate with their peers, enhancing academic and social skills. Equip students with the necessary tools to be successful, independent learners, aiming to shift their mindset towards academics and rediscover the joy in learning. These adaptive tools will help increase academic engagement and success among students with diverse learning styles creating a positive mindset shift towards learning, leading to lifelong learning habits.

Your support will enable us to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes academic achievement and fosters a lifelong love for learning.
