This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The COVID-19 pandemic caused our business department/students to close the school store. Our students have been without a place to buy any school spirit wear or healthy snacks since the pandemic. The school store (school-based enterprise) is a vital element of a 21st Century business program. It usually provides students with their first hands-on job experience. Any time we (career and tech educators) can bring real-world skills and lessons to the classroom benefits students 10 fold. My students have been missing out on the creation, marketing, selling, money handling, and operations that a school store offers. These Cricut tools will allow my students to create, price, market, sell, and learn how to keep records of financial transactions. My students can create and sell school spirit t-shirts, stickers, cards, etc. to raise money for special business-related field trips, and experiences, or to raise money for a local charity or resources for homeless students in our community.
