My Project
My students are so special because they come from so many diverse backgrounds. They interact with other students throughout the day, but do not always exhibit the empathy needed in certain situations. This empathy needs to be taught in order to provide a safe and all-inclusive learning environment. My students are wonderful kiddos who want to learn and understand the people and the world around them, but do not have the resources to create an atmosphere of understanding and respect for all cultures. These selected books would provide them with a tool to build upon their understanding of others around them.
