We are new special education teachers who teach kind, caring, curious, and hard-working students in grades k-5. Our students love times where they can have fun and bond as a classroom community.

Teaching our students to work on their social skills all day, every day is enjoyable and you can see them make progress daily. We love their curiosity and love for play. There is no better way to practice social-emotional learning than through hands-on activities like play.
My Project
Regulating your body can be hard, especially for our students. Many students we work with struggle with their emotions, their reactions to their emotions, impulsivity, coping skills, friendship skills, and more. No one enjoys doing worksheets upon worksheets. Help our classrooms be more engaged to learn missing skills! These resources will all be used during their social skills times. Many of these games will help target skills but make it fun so students are more willing to participate and open up about their emotions. Board games also help students practice many social skills and builds friendship skills. The books will be used for learning new techniques- books are always a great way to get students engaged in learning a new skill. By helping provide snacks you are also giving our students an opportunity to practice their please and thank you's, a time to practice waiting, a time to practice their conversation skills, and an opportunity to help keep their bodies regulated (hangry is a real emotion). All of the resources will reach special education students immediately and will greatly impact them in amazing way. You would be helping them learn and practice skills they will need for life!
